Welcome to Gum Tree Farm!

We are avid gardeners who have been creating and maintaining extensive gardens containing an array of beautiful landscape plants at this site for twenty-six years and wish to share our love for gardening with you..

For many years we have tried the latest varieties. Consequently, you will find many rare and unusual plant species. But you will also find the plants that have stood the test of time and do well in the middle Tennessee climate. This has also been an important goal for us at Gum Tree Farm.

Our farm nursery is now closed for regular business, but Stephen continues to grow and enjoy a small collection of nursery plants that may be for sale when you visit. We decided to discontinue organized nursery sales as of Fall 2010.

Our gardens reflect the "New American Style" of gardening. "What is the New American Style? you ask. It has more textural plants often including flowering shrubs, evergreens and grasses to create rhythms, areas that flow with plants that change color with the seasons, and sway with the breeze. It is annuals, perennials and bark mulch.

We look forward to your visit!

Stephen and Susan Felts, Owners
